Upcoming Watchlist Entry Limit

Watchlists are a very popular NabBot feature. It is a feature that has been going through many adjustments to balance the load in our servers, due to the amount of requests it has to do to Tibia.com and to Discord.

After looking at our usage data, we have decided to introduce an entry limit in order to balance their use. The limit will be server-wide, meaning each server will have limits on the number of characters and guild entries across all their watchlists.

To offer some perspective, there are some servers that have 300~400 character entries. While there are some servers with over 100 guilds. Some of these servers only have a few members.

Character vs Guild entries

I think it is worth mentioning what are the differences between Character and Guild entries.

Guild Entries: These keep track of all members in a guild. Whenever a new member joins, it is automatically tracked. When a member leaves, they are no longer tracked. The number of members in a guild do not affect the number of character entries.

Character Entries: These keep track of specific characters, regardless of their guild status.

What are the limits?

• Regular Servers
  • 30 characters
  • 10 guilds
• Premium Servers
  • 150 characters
  • 30 guilds

What happens if I exceed the limit?

If you exceed the limits, your watchlists will become disabled, displaying a message saying you have exceeded the limits. When you go under the limits again, they will be enabled again.

How do I check how many entries I have?

The easier way to check is to use the /watchlist list watchlists command.

Will these limits be permanent?

The limits will be permanent, however, we might adjust them based on usage, server resources and demand.

When will this change be applied?

The change will be live after August 5th, 2025.
